There was a time when I thought progress meant big leaps. Dramatic breakthroughs. Clear answers. Healed bodies. Clean slates.
But chronic illness has taught me something different:
Progress can look like getting out of bed.
It can be brushing your hair, replying to a message, or simply whispering a prayer when you don’t have the strength for anything more.
And you know what? That counts.
In fact, it matters deeply.
For a long time, I minimized my small steps. I felt like they didn’t measure up. Like if I wasn’t “all better,” I wasn’t really moving forward. But God has gently rewritten that narrative. He’s shown me that faithfulness isn’t found in how far we move — it’s found in showing up, one honest step at a time.
Healing isn’t always visible.
Breakthrough isn’t always loud.
Sometimes, it looks like choosing hope again — even after a night of tears.
Maybe today you’re feeling stuck. Like your life is on pause while the world keeps spinning. I want to remind you: your small steps are sacred. Your quiet courage is seen. Your story is still unfolding, even if the pace is slow.
You don’t have to rush to be worthy.
You don’t have to hustle to be whole.
Jesus walks with you as you are — not just where you’re going.
So take the next small step, whatever it looks like for you today. Rest in the truth that God is in it — in the stillness, the struggle, and the step-by-step.
You’re not behind.
You’re becoming.
